Fans not only get to see Phastos in superhero action, but they also get to see a look inside his personal life where he is a doting husband to Ben and a father to their son. Certain groups are upset at the idea of a children's movie representing the LGBTQ+ community while progressives are upset at Jack Whitehall's casting, believing a gay actor should be cast, and the idea that it might be a stereotypical, harmful representation.
