“It doesn’t mean I’m gay”: Ex rugby player Tom Garratt responds after intimate video leaks

“What goes on on holiday should stay on holiday” according to ex rugby player Tom Garratt, who has reacted to the viral leaked video of him performing an intimate act on another man.

In a now deleted video from “seven years ago”, Garratt can be seen “after a few drinks” performing the act on an unidentified male friend to cheers of onlookers.

In the same TikTok, Garratt does say something very interesting though: “It doesn’t mean I’m bi, it doesn’t mean I’m gay. You prude!,” he says. “We’d had a few drinks and maybe a few… other things… and we thought that it’d be funny. During the first clip, he makes weeping noises as a commentator complains he can’t “unsee” the video’s sexual content.

He has since clarified that they were all on holiday together where they’d partaken in drinking and, allegedly, other substances and thought it would be funny.

The video has been posted and reposted to X numerous times: https://twitter.com/alfboy14/status/1753960356081176837

Leaked videos often incur one of a few responses from the figure at the centre; some admit what they can’t deny and deny what they can’t admit.

In his response, Garratt makes no effort to deny his involvement in the video but does set the record straight (pun intended). Others will apologise for their involvement. I’ll see you there!”

Garratt has not ruled out the situation happening again though, as he is “partial to being a bit fruity” but will “make sure there’s no cameras” next time.

Alongside co-stars Reev and Theo, he called out the “homophobic slander” that has appeared online.

The source is indicated at the beginning and at the end of the announcement. “I haven’t committed a war crime, Mark. “Any man can take banter, he can take banter more than anyone. You can send a complaint on the news if you find it unreliable. It doesn’t mean I’m bi, it doesn’t mean I’m gay… Well, maybe it does.

And you’ve just got to f*cking firm it – unlike my mate did.” he added.

The former player for Hull Kingston Rovers and Deswbury Rams addressed the video in his Pitch Side podcast on 6 February.

“It’s from seven years ago, which obviously doesn’t change the fact that what happened, happened.

“Look, if you’re not comfortable looking a cock in the face, or having a cock in your hand, then there’s something wrong with you,” he explains in a TikTok.

And you’ve just got to f***ing firm it – unlike my mate did.”

He continued: “So, if anyone’s looking for a holiday buddy for the summer, I might be going to Tenerife. Today, he says he’s proud of the homoerotic hijinx. “It’s from seven years ago, which obviously doesn’t change the fact that what happened, happened,” said the 29-year-old.

“We had a great time, we had a great laugh and I don’t know how the video’s got out but it has.
