Named after the “strongest metal on earth,” this gay club in Causeway Bay wants to create strength in its community while providing a comfortable, creative and cute gay hangout for a good time.

We love their regularly changing cocktail menu, meaning there’s always something brand new to try every time you visit, but the main draw is the community The Cloakroom is building with their events. Get a taxi or take a scenic walk from Repulse Bay to enjoy all the glory of the sun and sand.

Lessy

L’Paradis has been around for years so when they announced their closure last year, we thought Hong Kong was losing another of its dwindling lesbian bars.

The lounge space is elegant with a 1920s flapper vibe. You can simply pick your songs, line up, and sing your lungs out to every tune your heart desires.

If you don’t like karaoke much, that’s okay – they do play some K-pop hits later in the night.

Drinks are reasonably priced, and you can easily sit back and silently judge (kidding!) other singers on the karaoke.

Not only is it safe, but the vibe is welcoming. Hong Kong is a one-of-a-kind experience that's waiting for you to have a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Hong Kong just knows how to party, and when it comes to our queer scene, we can be a bit crazier. It’s in Causeway Bay, right outside the MRT exit.

Wink

Established by Tony Wong, formerly a partner at Zoo, Wink is your typical decent Hong Kong gay bar – all black, minimal and sleek, and with ballad covers of pop hits coming out of the stereo with their daily karaoke nights in the earlier part of the night.

How much? With a mixed crowd of locals and expats mingling with everyone, including the bartenders, it’s also a great place to meet new, like-minded people. Not only are the communities inclusive, but the entertainment is always top-tier: local drag queens, awesome DJs, and a few karaoke rooms here and there.

From legendary hotspots to upscale chic lounges along Causeway Bay, this list has it all.

But if you want to save a bit more, you can score some drinks at $40 to $50 during their happy hour before 7:30 PM.

Like most bars, it tends to get busy later in the evening. Think again, my friend.
